I had my first lesson with Tom 4 months ago while I was rehabbing from a knee operation. My key issue was poor ball striking leading to erratic drives and approach shots.
Over the 4 months we focused on my swing path, hitting down on the ball with my irons, and then getting an effective release. I’d tried doing this before with other coaches and failed. It all seemed too complicated. Tom, however, has a knack of simplifying things so all the things I thought would be too difficult, became easy. The last piece of the jigsaw was a grip change.
That was two weeks ago. Since then, in 5 rounds, my handicap has dropped from 19.9 to 15.9 (my lowest ever) and I’ve played 3 rounds at 12/13 handicap level. My ball striking is unrecognisable and is giving me so much confidence in my game.
Tom’s studio is excellent and he blends good use of data with easily understandable drills to get the best results. I cannot recommend him enough.
